Google has updated its official YouTube app on iOS, bringing one neat little addition to iPhone which was there previously too but was removed later for some unknown reasons.
In short, the new app update brings back native iOS Share Sheet integration for YouTube, allowing users to directly upload videos to YouTube from Share Sheet on iPhone without launching the app.
As mentioned earlier, sharing a video to YouTube via the Share Sheet was an option in a previous version of the YouTube app, but it was discontinued sometime in 2018. Until this week, there was no option to use native sharing to upload videos to YouTube.
The aforementioned feature is part of YouTube iOS app version 19.47.7 so if you want this feature, make sure you head to App Store now and update to this latest version to get back the ability to upload YouTube videos directly from Share Sheet on your iPhone or iPad.
Now if only Google brings support Vision Pro which they promised earlier this year but has still not been materialized for Apple Vision Pro users.
Fingers crossed it happens before the year closes!
