Microsoft recently confirmed that April 11th, Patch Tuesday, will be the day on which the much anticipated Creators Update for Windows 10 will be made available, having already given power users the opportunity to download an ISO with the software on should they so wish.
Now, a couple of weeks away from that big release date, Microsoft has announced via a blog post that it will give users another chance to get the update ahead of time, this time by making it available via the Update Assistant method for those who want to flick the switch manually.
Of course, anyone who just wants to let Windows do its thing will be able to do that, and the Creators Update will begin to be installed automatically on devices come April 11th.
April 5th, though, is the date that users will be able to head on over to Update Assistant and download the update ahead of time – perfect for those who just cannot wait to get the latest version of Windows 10 to come out of Microsoft.
For the those of you who are eager to get the Creators Update right away, you will be able to initiate the update manually, starting on April 5th, via Update Assistant. This option is intended for advanced users on devices running a licensed version of Windows 10.
So that’s the PC taken care of, but what about Windows Phone? Those using devices powered by Microsoft’s mobile operating system will have to wait a little longer, unfortunately, with April 25th said to be when the Creators Update will go mobile.
We have covered the Creators Update a good number of times on RP so if you are looking for a little information on what it will entail, then you know just where to find it! We cannot wait to give the new Game Mode feature and Paint app a try.
