The Microsoft Xbox One should be hitting the market later on this year, and in anticipation of the big release, the Redmond company is doing everything it can to whet the appetites of consumers. We’ve already feasted our eyes on the console’s new design and most of the key accessories, and today, the software maker has released yet another couple of videos allowing us to take a closer look at the new controller and some of the other important Xbox One accessories. The clips are only around 40 seconds long, but give enough of an insight to be deemed a must-watch for any prospective Xbox One owner. You can check the videos out after the break!

For the days and weeks just after the Xbox One’s announcement, Microsoft seemed to be alienating its consumer base with its ambiguous, perceivably stingy rules on used games. There were other niggling issues besides, but with the company having stepped out and decided to scrap most of the unfavorable elements to bring gamers back onside (nothing to do with the fact that Sony had no such restrictions with the PS4), fans have finally been able to look ahead to the console’s release, as well as those all-important launch titles.

While the games are about as important as the console itself, we still need the correct peripherals in order to enjoy as rich a gaming experience as possible, and the most important tool in any pro gamer’s trade is the control pad. The Xbox One’s doesn’t deviate too much from that of its predecessor – not a bad thing, by any means – and if you’ve been waiting to take a closer peek at this new controller, this video clip might help you out:

Also on the menu is the Play and Charge kit, which will cost $24.99 from the point of launch. It claims to charge your controller up in just 4 hours, which is mightily impressive if you’re a dedicated gamer. Of course, as the name suggest, the accessory allows you to continue playing while your controller collects those droplets of juice, with a 9ft cable meaning you shouldn’t have to endure any hind of inconvenience.

The headset, which also costs $24.99, gets its own video as well, and is pretty much as you were if you ever used the headset of the Xbox 360. It connects into the bottom of the official controller, and with volume rockers and a mute button, can be adjusted without any need to divert attention from the job in hand.

We can’t wait for the release of the Xbox One here at Redmond Pie, and we’re sure you feel the same, so make sure you stay tuned to our coverage for more on Microsoft’s next big thing.
