watchOS 11 Compatible Apple Watch Models [Compatibility List]

Here are all the watchOS 11 compatible Apple Watch models to check, complete with compatibility list.

Apple’s watchOS 11 software update has been announced for a while and after Apple’s recent Fall event, things have gotten even more clear. The update might not be the biggest of Apple’s announcements this week, but it does bring with it some notable improvements. And these are the Apple Watches that it can be installed on.

When Apple releases a major new Apple Watch software update there is always the chance that some older models will not be supported and that’s the case this time around. The Apple Watch Series 5, for example, is no longer going to receive big software updates for the first time which means you’ll need an Apple Watch Series 6 or newer in order to install it.

The full rundown of compatible Apple Watches includes:

  • Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
  • Apple Watch Series 6
  • Apple Watch Series 7
  • Apple Watch Series 8
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Series 10
  • Apple Watch Ultra
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2

The watchOS 11 software update is currently available in developer beta with final version scheduled for release on September 16. However, the final build of watchOS 11 won’t be made available to the public until the fall, likely in September. The newly announced Apple Watch Series 10 will come shipping with this version of watchOS 11.
