Interested in watching free TV shows on your iPad? With a new internet service called FilmOn, you can now watch HD quality television shows from channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BBC, Sky News, ITV and many more right from the comfort of your iPad.
Quality is surprising very very good for a free service with little to no lag during play. Oh and it also includes a-naughty channel for all those of you who like xXx stuff.
The best thing about FilmOn is that it doesn’t require Apple’s approval for any native app, instead, you can browse all the channels provided by the service by navigating to their site FilmOn.com via Safari browser. It also allows you to see TV schedule, pause the live show, search TV guide and so on.
The TV networks who owns these channels are naturally not happy about this free service, and they have filed lawsuits against FilmOn. But Aki David, who is the man behind the service is confident, and “believes that he is legally operating within existing US copyright law and plans to spend heavily to win his legal battle with the networks."
So FilmOn will probably live on, for the time being, anyway.
