visionOS 2 Beta 9 For Apple Vision Pro Released

Apple has today released visionOS 2 beta 9 for Apple Vision Pro to developers registered on Apple Developer Program portal.

Apple announced visionOS 2 as first major OS release for Vision Pro back in June this year at its annual WWDC conference alongside iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 and more.

visionOS 2 features ability to create spatial photos from your 2D images, SharePlay for Photos, trim any video at an epic scale, new home gestures for navigation, ability to customize Home View, panoramic productivity with Mac Virtual Display, new Bora Bora environment, watching videos in cinematic mode in Safari, improved Guest User mode, Persona enhancements, train support, redesigned Photos app, edit spatial videos with Final Cut Pro, see your keyboard in any Environment, catch multiple games at once on the Apple TV app, use AirPlay to mirror to Apple Vision Pro, and much more.

Registered developers can access the betas by navigating to the Settings app on their device, selecting the Software Update section, tapping “Beta Updates,” and enabling the Developer Beta option. An Apple ID linked to a developer account is necessary to download and install the beta.

Keep in mind that once you update to visionOS beta, you won’t be able to downgrade back to visionOS 1.x unless you go to Apple Store or have Vision Pro Developer Strap to downgrade yourself.

Apple will release RC version of visionOS 2 on September 9 and final version on September 16.
