Vimeo has just launched a visionOS app tailored specifically for the Apple Vision Pro. Viemo has also added an exciting new feature; Spatial video sharing.
In essence, Vimeo on Apple Vision Pro creates a hub for anyone wanting to share spatial video footage. While you need the Apple Vision Pro to view this content, capturing it is possible with the iPhone 15 Pro and later models for uploading to Vimeo.
Vimeo anticipates that spatial video sharing will extend beyond just professional video creators. Some potential uses include:
-
More immersive product demos, enhancing the way you showcase your product at trade shows or events
-
Employee training and education experiences that make employees lean in and drive better retention
-
Marketing campaigns that transport consumers into the content, providing more enriching touchpoints to drive engagements and, ultimately, sales
Video creators, naturally, will also enjoy sharing their spatial video creations. To kick things off, Jake Oleson is releasing a short film called “currents,” debuting on Vimeo on November 11.
The app can be download from the App Store for the Apple Vision Pro.
