Do you long to have multiple WhatsApp accounts on different devices but only have one valid mobile number and SIM card? Well, for those interested, here’s how you can create and use a WhatsApp account on Android devices without having to have an active SIM card in the device.
There are a few proven ways that you can use WhatsApp without a SIM card in the device. Some of those ways are difficult and cumbersome to execute so we are going to walk through one method using a third-party app called TextNow, which can be downloaded for free from Google Play.
Step 1: First and foremost, make sure that you have WhatsApp and the TextNow app downloaded and installed on your Android device. Launch TextNow and go through the process of obtaining your free-of-charge virtual mobile number. This will include adding a few details including an area code in the first instance. Make a note of that number as it offers free calls and texts via that provided number.
Step 2: Go through the process of creating a WhatsApp account and provide the free-of-charge number from above as the mobile number for your new WhatsApp account.
Step 3: Wait for the incoming verification call to come through from WhatsApp to the TextNow app. You will have to pick up this call as it will provide you with a verification code.
Step 4: Make a note of the code provided in the call and use it in the WhatsApp account for account verification.
Step 5: Congratulations! You are now inside of an active WhatsApp account without actually having to have a valid SIM card in the device.
This is definitely not the most efficient way to use the WhatsApp service, and definitely not the official way. However, if you do have a valid use case whereby you would want to use the WhatsApp service without having a SIM card in your device then this is definitely one of the most pain-free and trouble-free ways of actually achieving that. The reliance on a third-party application isn’t exactly perfect but it’s definitely something that cannot be avoided in this case.
Good luck and remember to be aware that you could have your account closed if the Facebook-owned company did detect that you weren’t using a valid number.
