Apple might have started adding widgets to the iPhone back in September 2021 with iOS 15, but it’s taken some developers and companies longer than others to get on board. Uber Eats is one company that has taken a long, long time to add its own widget to the mix but it’s finally here.
The new widget comes in small and medium sizes and gives customers quick access to the app as well as a way to search for their favorite food, groceries, and more.
The new widgets are part of the latest Uber Eats app update and it’s available for download in the App Store right now.
- With the new Uber Eats iOS widget, consumers (especially Eats power users) can conveniently access restaurants and merchants from recent orders, faster and easier than ever before.
- See highlights from your past orders to easily access those your top-ranked restaurants and merchants, or quickly access the Uber Eats search bar for your next meal.
As if finally getting an iPhone widget wasn’t enough, Uber Eats is now also available on the Mac if you’re using macOS Sonoma. That’s because iPhone widgets can now be installed on the Mac so long as you’re using macOS Sonoma 14.0 or later.
Although some apps also have their own special Mac apps and widgets, that obviously isn’t the case with Uber Eats so this is the best route to take if you really do want to get the most use out of the widget now it’s here.
