This tweak was created by MoeSeth, who has authored several official App Store apps and unofficial tweaks, such as 140plus, which lets users send tweets that are over 140 characters long. The app's official website makes it extremely clear:

TwitkaFly basically allows users to tweet or reply tweet from SpringBoard without needing to go through Twitter.app to tweet or reply.

TwitkaFly's functionality is comprised by two major features: the ability to send tweets, which can be invoked with a simple Activator gesture; and pop-up notifications for all new incoming tweets, allowing users to reply to them on the fly by pressing a single "Quick Reply" button.

In order to get this tweak up and running, you can follow our step by step guide to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch on iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w, PwnageTool, Sn0wbreeze or JailbreakMe (that last one being the easiest). If you’re already using iOS 5 beta, you can jailbreak it using tools like Redsn0w (for Mac and Windows), or Sn0wbreeze. This tweak was not approved by Apple, therefore use caution while setting this up: remember that you'll void your device's warranty, so be sure that you know exactly what you're doing.

Once you've jailbroken your device, you can install this tweak from Cydia (BigBoss repo) for a price of $1.99. This process should take a few minutes. Here’s a video of the tweak in action:

Any iOS-capable device (above 4.x and below 5.x), namely the iPad, iPod touch and iPhone is able to use this tweak. If you're looking to use Twitter more often, why not have a device that almost begs you to tweet? Think about it.

As you’re probably aware by now, one of iOS 5’s most prominent new features is system-wide integration with Twitter. What’s missing is the ability to send tweets straight from your home screen without opening the Twitter App, until now. TwitkaFly is a new jailbreak tweak that lets you send tweets straight from the SpringBoard.
