The iOS Music app (or iPod app, if you’re running on an older firmware version) is a very basic amenity, and although it does exactly what it says on the tin in playing music, it’s not the most exciting experience in the world. Tunebooth Music Player by mART is everything your native player isn’t, and if you like apps based on gestures, customizable layouts and dynamic theming options, it sounds as though Tunebooth is the app you’ve been waiting for.
As with any Music app alternative, you get your basic ensemble of playback and playlisting features. Nothing particularly of note here, but it’s always good to get the basics right. Tunebooth really earns its stripes through its gesture-based interface, and it’s not only very smooth in operation, but once you’ve tweaked everything to look exactly to your taste, it’s a sheer delight.
Every element has been designed in perfect sync with the next, and when I say it’s quite unlike any music app I’ve ever used in the past, I mean this in a very positive light. By means of in-app purchase, you can unleash Web integration, which allows you to find YouTube videos of the artists and songs in your library, as well as add videos to a list, or share them on Facebook.
In terms of theming, there are plenty available, and you can also create your own, should you so wish. It’s already a joy to behold, but the developer has promised Tunebooth will be bumped up to version 3.0 by the end of this year, packing in a whole host of new and "eye pleasuring" features, so stay tuned for that!
To wrap up, Tunebooth has a nice, warm and unique interface, and if you care as much about the apps you use to play your songs as you do the music itself, you will really enjoy the look and feel offered by this app.
It costs just 99 cents, and you can download it by clicking the link below.
