The Tesla Cybertruck is now closer than ever to going on sale with mass production expected to kick in soon. But we’re still in the dark about a whole host of aspects of the new electric truck, including more details about its powered frunk.
However, that’s starting to leak more and more including a new video showing it in operation.
Frunks have long been a key part of the EV experience, allowing people to store things where the engine would normally be on a traditional vehicle.
In the case of the Cybertruck, that will again be the case with a small area available for keeping things like the charging cable and more. It isn’t that small but it also isn’t huge with Electrek suggesting that it might be able to fit a golf bag or two.
In the case of the Cybertruck, the frunk is more important than ever because it is enclosed and lockable, something that is a big deal for those who want to be able to store objects without worrying about them being stolen or interfered with. The Cybertruck is set to have a cover for its bed, but it never hurts to have more, secure storage.
