For the first time ever, 2Do, the task management app for iOS has just shed its price tag and is available absolutely free for a limited period thanks to Apple’s free ‘App of the Week’ initiative. There have been discounts and promotions before but a complete drop of the price tag is a first.
For those not familiar with the popularity of this title on the iOS platform, it was released over three years ago, and has since then evolved into a comprehensive solution for managing tasks on the go, including the latest support for the Apple Watch as well. For three years, and Guided Ways Technologies – the developers – have been selling the app on the App Store for $15, which is much more than your average app price on the App Store.
Then again, 2Do is not exactly your average task manager either. Unlike most task management apps, 2Do will not bog you down with details and leave you hostage to predefined ways of managing your tasks. The app actually takes a “completely different approach to managing your tasks” and apparently “there is no wrong way of using 2Do,” thanks to its simple and easy-to-use interface coupled with powerful features that are flexible as well.
The app is now integrated with popular services such as Dropbox, the Reminders app, and even Siri which can be very convenient at checking up on tasks done or pending. While there is plenty in there to keep you occupied with as you dig into the app, one of my favorites is the app triggering notes or tasks based on location. Users can “Attach locations to tasks and get nearby alerts as you approach assigned locations.”
2Do is also available on the Mac as well, but the desktop version of the app costs $49.99 and is capable of syncing with your iPhone app as well. Luckily there is a 50-percent discount available for now, which means you can grab the app for $24.99 for a limited period. There’s no word on how long the discount will be available for the app on the Mac App Store, but the iOS version will be up for free on the App Store till the 12th of June.
