Great news for anyone looking to get their hands on an iPhone 7 in a country where it isn’t currently offered; Apple has announced that its latest smartphone will launch in a slew of additional countries starting on October 7.
Given how successful the iPhone 7 has already been, with the Jet Black model and the larger iPhone 7 Plus being completely sold out in a lot of territories, Apple is understandably keen to get the device in front of as many people as possible in as many countries as possible sooner rather than later. The phone may have sold like hot-cakes, but an enthusiastic customer eager to grab the handset would understandably be less impressed by that. Luckily, looks like things are finally about to change.
Apple will be making the 2016 iPhone range available to consumers in India and Ukraine on October 7. Given the size of the Indian market, and how valued that market has publicly been to Apple, it seems like the perfect time for the company to thrust the device into the market to capitalize on the clear interest that’s been shown. As for the pricing in India, it starts at 60,000 rupees with trade-in deals also available.
Following soon after, Apple will also be launching the iPhone 7 in the following countries starting a week later on October 14: Macao, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, South Africa, and Malaysia. As if that wasn’t enough, the Cupertino-based company will also be pushing the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus out to South Korea (Samsung’s home base) and Thailand on October 21, meaning it’s an unbelievable few weeks of activity for Apple from a growth perspective where the iPhone is concerned.
The availability of the device in those new countries means that come October 21, the iPhone 7 will be offered in more than 65 countries worldwide after it initially launched in 28 countries on September 16 followed by 30 more countries on September 23. Only time will tell if Apple’s inventory levels of the hardware will actually be able to keep up with the demand in those new countries.
Consumers looking to purchase the device can expect to get their hands on hardware containing Apple’s own A10 Fusion processor, along with a pressure-sensitive display that offers 3D Touch, as well as biometric sensing via an integrated Touch ID sensor, and of course the all new iSight camera in 7 and iSight-Duo in 7 Plus.
It’s highly likely that Apple will be following up this new availability with additional releases making the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pus available in even more countries before the close of the year.
If you’re based in one of these countries, will you be taking the opportunity to grab an iPhone 7?
