Amazon is now accepting pre-orders for the Sega Genesis Mini 2 console, with the item set to be released on October 27.
That means that you can place an order now ahead of the big release while saving a few dollars on the previous asking price, too.
Amazon would normally list this particular product for around $104, so you’re saving almost $7 without needing to do anything special. There’s a $21.99 delivery fee associated with this Japanese import, but that’s fairly standard at this point. Just factor that in when you’re budgeting for this little thing.
This machine comes with a wired control pad, USB power cable, and HDMI cable in the box and supports video output of up to 720p. It also ships with 60 classic titles installed, with games like OutRun, Night Trap, Populous, and more all installed. Some Sega CD games are in there as well, with Night Trap joined by Sonic The Hedgehog CD and more.
You might have to wait a little while for this console to arrive, but it could be the perfect Christmas gift for someone and it’ll be with you in plenty of time for the holidays. We don’t know how many are available though, so be sure to place an order soon before they all sell out.
