Apple’s smallest iPhone could be about to be discontinued. That’s according to a new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who pointed to the fact that the iPhone 13 mini appears to be running low on stocks.
The iPhone 13 mini is the last iPhone mini of its kind that is currently available to buy via Apple and now it appears that it is starting to become harder to buy on the eve of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro event.
That might suggest that the iPhone 13 mini is set to be removed from sale, leaving no option for people who prefer a smaller handset.
The iPhone 13 mini currently shows a delivery estimate of up to eight weeks, with the suggestion being that Apple will simply remove the product from sale after tomorrow’s event. Apple famously didn’t release an iPhone 14 mini last year and the iPhone 12 mini has already been discontinued.
If the iPhone 13 mini is indeed canceled tomorrow that will mean that the smallest iPhone available will be 6.1 inches, unless you’re willing to go for the 4,7-inch iPhone SE. However, that iPhone has a Home button which means that the handset is overall much larger than the 4.7-inch screen size might suggest.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups during its September 12 event with new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Utlra 2 wearables also expected to be unveiled.
