If you’re considering buying yourself a new iPhone but waiting until the iPhone 16 series of devices arrives later this year, there’s some news that you might want to pay attention to.
That news suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the biggest and best iPhone of the lineup, is tipped to have better battery life than any iPhone that came before it.
This news comes from the Naver user known as “yeux1122” who claims that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a bigger battery than previous models, possibly thanks to the slight display size increase that has been rumored.
That larger battery, backed by claims that the new iPhones will feature multiple power consumption improvements, will see the iPhone 16 Pro Max pack longer battery life than previous outings.
Other notable points shared by the leak include the rumored 6.9-inch display, A18 Pro chip, and up to 2TB of storage while the overall size of the iPhone 16 Pro Max could remain the same physical size as the iPhone 15 Pro Max. If that is indeed the case, the larger battery situation is more confusing — the extra space made available to that battery must be coming from somewhere else, it seems.
Apple is expected to announce its new iPhones in or around September, although that has obviously not yet been confirmed by Apple. The full lineup is expected to feature the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
