The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be announced alongside the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max next month and a new report suggests that we can look forward to the return of a familiar color to the lineup.
A post by X leaker, Majin Bu, claims that Apple is going to bring green back into the fold, a color that first debuted with the iPhone 12 in October 2020 before being removed from the lineup for the iPhone 13 a year later.
The iPhone 12 is still sold as a budget option within Apple’s great iPhone line, however.
The post says that Apple’s new color will look similar to that of the iPhone 12 while posting a photo of what appears to be a new USB-C connector already pained in a gorgeous green. The new green will likely join black, blue, yellow, and pink in the lineup alongside the usual (PRODUCT) Red offering that Apple always makes available.
One note is that the leaker hasn’t been able to confirm if the new green will be available at launch or if it will be a mid-season refresh.
The iPhone 15 series could receive the green color. A mockup of this color was also made. It looks like it will be very similar to the green already seen on the iPhone 12 series. pic.twitter.com/8MI8kJciw6

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are both expected to be announced at an event on September 12 before being made available to buy on September 22, assuming Apple follows the pattern of recent years. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will likely arrive on the same date alongside the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
