The Game Awards 2019 List Of Nominees Announced

The list of nominees for The Game Awards 2019 has been announced. Penned in for a December 12 showing at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, this year’s iteration of the gaming industry’s biggest awards show looks set to be an interesting affair, with Kojima Productions’ divisive Death Stranding leading in number of nominations alongside Remedy’s Control.

Show creator and host Geoff Keighley announced the nominees for all 29 categories in a video premiered on YouTube a couple hours ago. While the nominees were picked by “a voting jury of 80 leading media and influencer outlets across the globe,” fans have the opportunity to sway the results. Winners will be decided based on a “blended vote,” where fan votes will have a 10% weightage against the 90% of the jury’s votes.
