The Beats Pill Bluetooth Speaker Is Back And It’s Better Than Ever

After being discontinued in 2022, the Beats Pill branding is back with a new speaker that upgrades the previous model while still shrinking the price.

The new Beats Pill has long been rumored and leaked and now that it’s here it’s offered in Matte Black, Champagne Gold, and Statement Red with a soft-touch silicone housing making the overall design nicer to hold.

There’s the familiar metal speaker grille though, while the Beats logo sits front and center as you might expect. There’s also a lanyard for those who like to carry their speaker around.

In terms of features, the new Beats Pill uses stronger neodymium magnets than the previous Pill+ model which allows the woofer to shift around 90% more air. The result is a better, deeper sound while a single tweeter handles the rest of the audio. The two speakers are then titled to ensure that the sound is projected out and up, reducing audio distortion.

Beats promises around 24 hours of battery life per charge while a USB-C port offers lossless audio capabilities when connected via a cable. A 10-minute charge gives two hours of audio playback when needed, too.

All of these improvements come in a redesigned Beats Pill that now costs $149.99 no matter which of those three colors you choose. The new speaker is also available for order today with speakers shipping Thursday, June 27.
