Apples iPhone 15 could have a larger display than the iPhone 14 that came before it, according to a new report. However, those hoping for a big increase are going to be disappointed.
A new report by 9to5Mac claims to include new renders based on leaked CAD files that show not only that the iPhone 15 will get the new USB-C port, but also a couple of other improvements as well. And the new, bigger display is only one of the tweaks.
Starting with that display though, the report claims that Apple will ship a 6.2-inch display for the first time. That’s a display that is only marginally bigger than the 6.1-inch part used in the iPhone 14.
The same CAD-based renders also seem to confirm that the iPhone 15 will get the same Dynamic Island that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max debuted in September 2022.
It isn’t clear if it will be exactly the same, but the images certainly make it look that way.
Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max at an event that will be held in September. The phones will also be made available around ten days after that event, with new Apple Watches also likely to be announced at the same time.
We can expect to learn about the software that they will run, iOS 17, at the WWDC22 event that will likely be held in the first couple of weeks of June, too.
