Tesla’s Cybertruck Launches In Canada And Mexico

Tesla has launched its electric truck, the Cybertruck, in Canada and Mexico with the company emailing reservation owners to give them the chance to configure and complete their orders. However, it won’t be cheap.

As Drive Tesla reports, the Foundation Series Cybertruck will set buyers back a starting price of $137,990.

This release comes after Tesla first started to ship limited numbers of Cybertruck EVs to customers in the United States in November of 2023, although production has amped up since. The launch in additional countries suggests that Tesla is now more confident in its ability to meet demand.

According to an internal email sent to employees on Thursday evening, a copy of which was seen by Drive Tesla, the company says that as of today, August 8, 2024, they have started inviting Cybertruck reservation holders in Canada and Mexico to order their Foundation Series Cyberbeast or All-Wheel Drive Cybertrucks.

In terms of delivery dates, those who buy a Cybertruck in Canada are now expected to receive their truck in either October of November of this year, suggesting that the wait may not be as long as some may have first feared.

But with prices that could cost upwards of $220,000 when taxes and the Cyberbeast upgrade are taken into account, this is sure to be one truck that won’t be appearing on too many Canadian driveways.
