Tesla Model Y 2025 Trial Production Has Reportedly Begun

Tesla’s Shanghai factory is gearing up for a limited trial production of the new Model Y “Juniper” refresh, according to a Chinese car blogger.

This comes after the successful release of the “Highland” Model 3 refresh last August, which brought a slew of exciting updates, including a new front-end design, improved efficiency, and a quieter cabin.

Rumors have been swirling about a potential Model Y refresh, and it makes sense that Tesla would want to update their best-selling vehicle. After all, the more people think a refresh is coming, the more they might delay buying decisions.

While Tesla has denied a Model Y refresh this year, the year is winding down, and we’ve seen plenty of hints that it’s on the horizon.

Recent spy shots have revealed a camouflaged prototype with a sleek new front end, and leaked photos have given us a glimpse of the upgraded interior.

Reports say that a trial production will begin this week, but production will be limited to just 12 units per day. Tesla has also placed restrictions on factory workers, so it’s unlikely that the car will be available before the end of the year, as Tesla focuses on meeting their Q4 targets.
