Rumors have been circulating about a Tesla Model Y refresh since last year, and now it appears that those rumors were true.
Images of the Model Y refresh have just leaked, lending credence to the fact that a new Model Y is on the way.
The photos which were leaked on Reddit – but were then deleted – reveal some exciting updates. We get to see the rear of the vehicle with a new illuminated ‘Tesla’ brand badge, akin to the one introduced with the Model 3 refresh. However, the illumination is a new addition to the Tesla lineup.
We also get a glimpse of the interior, showcasing ambient lighting in the door, a feature introduced with the Model 3 refresh but not yet available in the Model Y.
Someone on X on quick to create a render based on these to show the car’s back which can be seen below:
While Tesla and Elon Musk have been denying any plans for a refresh “this year,” many speculated that a refresh was imminent for early 2024.
The recent spotting of camouflaged Model Y prototypes in California further fueled the speculation. It is likely we’ll see new information about the 2024 Model Y leak ahead of its announcement.
