Tesla Holiday Update 2022 Features Leaked?

Tesla’s holiday software update is expected to bring a number of new features with a new leak outing some of the very best — including one that we’ve seen teased before.

That feature is of course support for Apple Music, with photos of a car with test software installed showing that users will be able to sign into their Apple ID by scanning an on-screen QR code.

Support for Apple Music is something that people have been requesting for years and it’s good to see it finally making an appearance.

Other changes shared by the Teslascope Twitter account include an improved music player that can be customized as well as a number of new, unconfirmed games. MyQ garage support is also reportedly included.

Tesla will also reportedly add remote light show scheduling and remote emissions mode for those who have the updated mobile app, we’re told.

This line of new features and tweaks will surely be well received by customers and while we don’t have a firm release window for when this software update will arrive, it isn’t expected to be too far out into the future. It’s called the holiday update for a reason, after all.

With Apple Music support being added as part of this update many might wonder whether Apple Music Sing will also be supported. Apple’s karaoke feature is only compatible with a select number of Apple’s own iPads, iPhones, and Apple TV devices so it seems unlikely that Teslas will get to use it at this point.
