Tesla is a carmaker that isn’t known for offering multiple color options, with most of them that you see on the road tending to be one of a couple of different options. But the company has now added a new color for buyers to pick from when choosing a new Model S or Model X.
The new color, dubbed Stealth Grey, is now available and appears to be a slightly darker version of the Midnight Silver that was already offered.
Electrek notes that color was made the standard option for the Model 3 and Model Y earlier this year.
Interestingly, Tesla isn’t charging anything extra for the new color with all of the options included as the base price.
While the color won’t be for everyone, it’s always good to see more options added especially if the existing ones didn’t quite tick the box for you. However, anyone who wants something other than white, red, blue, or a shade of black is still going to have to resort to having their vehicle wrapped.
Whether Tesla will now start to roll out more color options following the arrival of Stealth Grey remains to be seen, but it seems unlikely that we will see another color added any time soon if history is anything to go by.
