After years of waiting the Tesla Cybertruck is finally here, and some people already have theirs.
Not many of them, though Tesla handed over the keys to ten of its Cybertrucks to customers while sharing a few more details about what the truck can do and, more importantly, what it will actually cost.
This was all part of a delivery event that took place yesterday, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk taking a break from telling X advertisers to “go f***” themselves to deliver some trucks.
But the deliveries aren’t all that important unless you happen to be one of those ten people. More interesting is the information that came afterward as part of an update to the Tesla website that finally meant we have pricing.
Unfortunately, that pricing is high. The range-topping Cyberbeast, as it’s called, will cost $99,90 with a range of a bit less than 320 miles and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.6 seconds. That’s fast, especially for something this big. It’s around the size of a Ford F-150 Lightning according to reports, and the bed is around the same size as well.
At the other end of the Cybertruck range is the base model that will be rear-wheel-drive only and sell for an estimated $60,990. That will have a range of 250 miles and a 0-60 mph time of 6.5 seconds, but it won’t ship until 2025.
In the middle we have the all-wheel drive model that will have a range of 340 miles with a 3.9-second 0-60 mph time. That’ll ship in 2024, alongside the Cyberbeast, for a price of around $79,990.
