Tesla has started to deliver Cybertrucks to its US showrooms ahead of a final launch event that will take place at the end of the month.
The move means that for many people this will be their first chance to get a look at the electric truck.
The Cybertruck was famously unveiled back in 2019 and has experienced more than its fair share of delays and detractors ever since. However, after a long wait, we can now expect to learn all about things like the final production specifications and pricing when the first deliveries start to arrive on November 30.
A video of a cordoned-off Cybertruck in a San Diego mall shows just how highly polished it is, although we know that these trucks don’t tend to stay that way for long.
This is the first Tesla Cybertruck on public display. It was delivered to the Tesla Showroom at the Westfield UTC Mall in the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego in California on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
Electrek notes that another Cybertruck was also spotted at Tesla’s San Jose store over the last weekend, and it’s likely that more will start to appear within the next few days as well. However, the fact that these trucks are already appearing in Tesla showrooms but we still don’t know how much they cost might be a sign that if you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it.
