Tesla App Adds iOS 18 Control Center Support

Tesla app for iOS has been updated yet again, this time adding support for iOS 18 Control Center toggles that has been added as part of iOS 18 release.

As you may already know, Apple revamped the Control Center in iOS 18, adding ability to not just reorder, resize and delete controls as per your liking, but also adding multiple pages, and even the ability for third-parties to add their own control toggles to Control Center.

Now, Tesla has updated its iOS app which adds ability to add controls to Control Center. These include ability to control your car’s lock/unlock status, turn on and off the climate, open or close the charging port, open/close frunk, flash lights, honk horn, and playing of fart effect inside or outside the car.

When you add these controls to your Control Center, you can now control all of the aforementioned aspects of your car right from the Control Center on your iPhone without having to open the app!

If you haven’t updated the app yet, head to App Store and grab the update version 4.38.0 or later to get this functionality.

Tesla has also added ability for commands from app to be executed offline (over Bluetooth LE) when the phone is in proximity of the car. This particular ability requires car’s software to be updated to version 2024.38 or later.
