If you’re the owner of a Tesla Cybertruck you now have not one but two new accessories to consider, and they’re both related to the truck’s bed and tailgate.
The first is the $300 tailgate shield, a device that can be used to protect your tailgate as the name might suggest. It’s suitable for helping hold bikes securely without damaging the tailgate itself.
Protect your tailgate while transporting your gear. The Cybertruck tailgate shield features a custom-designed pad that covers your tailgate when hauling equipment, like road or mountain bikes, over the top of the tailgate. Pad includes molle webbing on the interior side for easy fastening of equipment like the Cybertruck jumpseat, plus a combo lock carabiner to lock everything into place.
The second accessory is a new jumpseat that can be attached to the tailgate and provide a new way for people to sit on the truck. They don’t look like they will be the most comfortable of seats, however, and at $100 each they definitely aren’t cheap.
If you do need to have a way to sit on your tailgate during camping and other outdoor pursuits this could well be an option worth considering.
Of course, how many people will buy either of these accessories is a matter of debate, especially the $300 tailgate shield. But the fact that these options exist at all is a good thing for all Cybertruck owners.
