If you’re a Tesla driver you can look forward to the company’s 2023 holiday software update dropping next week.
The company has confirmed what new features users can look forward to, and there are some impressive additions coming to a Tesla near you.
At the top of the list is a feature that was leaked ahead of time, with Tesla vehicles gaining support for Apple Podcasts. Listeners can sign in with their Apple ID and then pick up where they left off on their iPhone, browse new podcasts, and more.
Another notable feature is what Tesla calls a LAN part on wheels — the ability to now play games on the rear touchscreen in compatible vehicles. Up next, there’s support for using wireless Bluetooth headphones when watching content or playing games on that screen, while the in-car mapping system will also start warning of speed cameras on a route.
Another notable addition is a big safety one. Teslas will now automatically call 911 should the airbags be triggered, while the blind spot camera will alert with red shading when a turn signal is on and a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.
There’s much more in this new update and you can find all of the little details in the Tesla X post embedded here. There’s no firm word on when the update will be available, however, but Tesla does say it will land next week.
