Yesterday, we reported on Fei Lam, the teenager who got sued by Apple for owning a website that sold white iPhone 4 parts. In light of the lawsuit, Fast Company was able to interview him via, weirdly enough, instant messaging. While he was shy the whole time, and refused to comment on many aspects of his lawsuit and his net worth, I think the interview did show what it must be like to be in the guy's shoes.
This past Novemeber, when we saw a 17-year-old selling white iPhone parts months before the white iPhone was available to the general public, we thought "Uh oh, Apple's lawyers are probably on to this.". After 7 inexplicably long months, they're filing a lawsuit against the kid and his parents, along with an offer to drop the lawsuit if no further infractions occur. Why is Apple so generous?
Ah, the humble white iPhone. When Apple first announced it way back in 2010 nobody could foresee the headline making chaos that would ensue and certainly nobody could have predicted we'd still be debating the handset all these months later. Even more amazing is what we're all getting so hot under the collar about - is the white iPhone thicker than the black one? Well, kinda, yeah.
We all thought that now the white iPhone is starting to get into the hands of eager punters the world over, the drama of this particular unicorn was at an end. Turns out though, there's more to come. As the iPhoneDownloadBlog writes, some of the white iPhones shipped out by Apple may be special units, and could even possess Apple's own in-house software.
Finally, after a long wait, the illusive white iPhone 4 is now available for purchase at an Apple Store near you! Available in 28 countries, in both 16 and 32GB flavors, and for the same price as the current black version, the white iPhone 4 can be either ordered online, or purchased at any Apple Store.
Most of you by now will know that Apple has made white iPhone 4 official, and it is launching tomorrow in 28 countries, in both 16 and 32GB flavors, and for the same price as the current black version. But what most you might be wondering is why did it took Apple 10 months to launch the illusive handset in white?
Apple today has finally issued a press release, confirming the launch of the much awaited white iPhone 4. The illusive iPhone 4 in white will be available for purchase officially, from tomorrow.
While the rumored launch is tomorrow, some retailers are already selling the white iPhone 4 ahead of time. One lucky Italian folk has been able to grab his from H3G store in Italy.
The current iPhone buzz is all about the white iPhone 4 and the latest word on the street comes courtesy of 9to5Mac who have exclusive screenshots of Best Buy's inventory screen which point to an April 27th release.
Earlier we reported that white iPhone 4 may be available as early as 26th of this month in Italy. Only a day after that we found 3 UK offering the phone for order over the website which has now been pulled off.
