New releases of iOS usually mean new releases of iOS jailbreaking software and the same goes for new betas, too. With Apple releasing iOS 5 beta 2 to developers on Friday, we heard that Redsn0w could be used to jailbreak iPhones, iPads and iPod touches for the Mac users amongst us. But what if you're (un)lucky enough to be tied into the Windows world?
The famous iPhone developer and hacker Steven, who is more popularly known as @ih8sn0w on Twitter, has just released an updated version of Sn0wbreeze 2.8 for iOS 5 beta 1 jailbreak. This new version of Sn0wbreeze adds support for untethered iOS 5 jailbreak on iPhone 3GS, sporting old bootrom.
Updated version of Redsn0w, PwnageTool and Sn0wbreeze for iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak are now available which fixes side switch vibrate problem on iPhone 4 and 3GS after untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.3.
iPhone developer ih8sn0w has updated Sn0wbreeze to version 2.7 in-order to include support untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.3 (iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad, iPod touch) and iOS 4.2.8 on Verizon iPhone 4.
iPhone developer iH8sn0w has just released Sn0wbreeze 2.6 for Windows users to fully jailbreak iOS 4.3.2 untethered running on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch. Just like Redsn0w, iPad 2 jailbreak on 4.3.2 is not supported yet.
The newly released Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 adds in the ability to enable “Animate” (custom animated boot logos) on devices jailbroken on the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware.
Sn0wbreeze 2.5 is now available for Windows users to fully jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 untethered running on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch. Just like the new PwnageTool 4.3 for Mac, Sn0wbreeze 2.5 for Windows also uses the same new untether exploit to jailbreak all devices (except for iPad 2 ) on the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware, and at the same time will help retain the old baseband for iPhone 4 and 3GS users so that they can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.
Sn0wbreeze 2.4 is now available for Windows users to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 running on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod touch. Just like PwnageTool for Mac, Sn0wbreeze jailbreak is also tethered for all devices, which means you will have to boot into a jailbroken state every time you reboot your device.
A new beta version of Sn0wbreeze 2.3 (iOS 4.3 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) has just been released. This new beta 3 version adds fix for 4th-gen iPod touch users who were having issues using iBooty.
iPhone developer and hacker iH8sn0w has released an update to Sn0wbreeze 2.3 (iOS 4.3 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch), which among many things, brings an option to enable Multitouch Gestures on supported devices, patch for Mobile Substrate, bug fixes for both iBooty and iBSS, and sleep bug fix for iPod touch 4G / 3G users. Full change log is as follows.
