Being the geeks that we are here at Redmond Pie, we appreciate the very cutting-edge in technological advances. Be it the new MacBook Pro or Google's Project Glass, we're always interested to see companies and individuals push the boundaries. Despite this, we're interested in pretty much anything techie, and the Useless Box, brought to our attention by Mashable, is one of the most hilarious inventions we've ever seen.
In terms of concept designs, Apple has pretty much been covered in every aspect. Any hint of a new product is designed by enthusiasts for the masses to drool over, and even if it's not likely to ever hit the market, a fan of the Cupertino company will likely be sitting at their Mac, dreaming it up.
You don't need to be an expert to know that relations between both Samsung and Apple are at an all-time low. With the blocking of Galaxy Nexus sales in the United States and a collection of other legal battles between the two, it is clear that the two companies both believe that the other has copied ideas in order to make their own smartphones better. Whether you believe that or not is almost as complicated as asking you about religion or politics. Needless to say, we'll leave it there.
Steve Jobs once professed to have "cracked" three markets he deemed to be key in Apple's progress. One was the textbook market, which has already become a reality with iTunes U. The next was the television market, which is hotly-rumored to be in the works for the not-so-distant future, while the third area was the photography market, which although affected by both the iPhone and iPad, has yet to be attacked by Apple in a manner which would back up Jobs' claims.
Do you ever sit back and think that people have way too much time on their hands to have come up with the weird and zany inventions that adorn our shelves and are available for sale on the internet? We are currently sitting at the pinnacle of innovation and technological advancements, and if we have absorbed anything on our journey here, it should be that anything is possible and it is often the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, and surprisingly, they do!
Fruit Ninja has grown to become one of the most popular games on both Android and iOS, and although most would not necessarily have foreseen it, the title has made a fruit-hating, sword-toting ninja of many millions of consumers.
We get through many impressive iPhone concepts here at Redmond Pie, and the most recent has already gained a significant amount of views on viral video hunt YouTube. Elegant and perfectly polished, it offers essentially everything one could require from a smartphone, and although it's most certainly not real, it makes the preexisting iPhone range look comparatively bland.
Yep, this is really happening. Sure is, yes sir. We couldn't make this stuff up. If you've ever wondered what would happen if Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates took to a stage and engaged in some sort of sing-off contest, then you're about to be made very, very happy. If that sing-off contest needs to be in the form of a rap battle, then you'll probably need to sit down for a minute to compose yourself before we go any further.
The closer we draw to WWDC and the imminent announcement of the eagerly-awaited iOS 6, the more rampant and seemingly audacious the rumors are getting. From what we've gathered so far, the sixth edition of Apple's iconic mobile operating system will feature a brand new, Cupertino-inspired Maps app, Facebook integration, Baidu Search, and a whole host of other delicious features.
Want to see Iron Man being drawn using a thirty year old computer? You do? Then you're in luck, because that's just what we happen to have here. We love many things here at Redmond Pie. We love cake. We love Ice Cream. We really love peanut butter. There's movies and old computers, too.
