Despite learning over the last few weeks that Apple would be delaying the release of the iPad 3 until early next year, it looks as if Jobs and Co. are in the process of securing a decent supply chain for the display, with 3 shortlisted candidates.
Rumors of a new iPad, unofficially dubbed "iPad 3", have been ongoing for several months now and just a couple of days back, the whole iPad 3 fiasco was dumped for good, for this year at least. Today, more sources are indeed confirming that we'll see a new iPad early next year, in line with Apple's previous release schedules.
Those who own an iPhone 4 are probably aware of its extremely high resolution display that makes text and images appear crisper than ever. This feature, known as Retina Display, has been rumored to be coming to the next-generation iPad and has now been spotted in the final version of OS X Lion.

iPod touch 4G was announced only a few days back at Apple’s annual “Special Media Event” in San Francisco. Even though the new “touch” has got two cameras: one on the back for HD video recording and one on the front for FaceTime calls, 960 x 640 Retina Display and all, but the fact that the camera on the back can only take still shots at 0.7 megapixels was met with disappointment by many.
