Internet rights advocacy group Fight for the Future has taken to the streets to protest against the FBI's request that Apple provide a tool to allow it to access data on a locked iPhone, with Apple's San Francisco store being the focus of that protest.

We’d like to think that most people who use Google’s services are fully aware that the technology giant is monitoring their every move. Literally. But it’s clear that the great unwashed masses have no idea that their Android phones are tracking their location as they go about their business and, if you have Google Now installed on an iPhone, that’s probably doing the same too.
As everyone probably knows at this point, each time an Android app is installed it has to tell the user what it will want access to. Be it location, SMS or general internet access, it's all laid bare for us to see. It means that we can ask questions when an app asks for far too many permissions for what it's supposed to do, for example. The problem is, not everyone pays attention.
