Sony Corporation has filed lawsuits against Geohot (aka George Hotz) and the fail0verflow team for making PlayStation 3 exploits and jailbreak tools public.
The official PlayStation app for iOS is go ! The app, which is compatible with iPhones and iPod touches running iOS 4.x and above enables you to check out your PlayStation Network trophies, and keeps you up to date with your friends’ games and online statuses.
After releasing PS3 root keys publicly this week, the famous iPhone hacker George Hotz (aka Geohot) is back today with an update on his site, that reads “I made a video”. The video shows a jailbroken PlayStation 3 on the latest 3.55 firmware, running homebrew.
A few days ago, a small group of German hackers called fail0verflow found an exploit that could completely open up the PlayStation 3 console. Dubbed as “epic PS3 security bypass”, they found the method to calculate the security keys, which is just a Sony signature that lets the PS3 know whether the application they’re trying to open is legit, or not.
October figures from the NPD group states that the Xbox 360 has been the best selling console in the U.S. for the fifth month straight, with an impressive 325,000 units sold, compared to the PlayStation 3's 250,000 and the Nintendo Wii’s 232,000. Microsoft boasts total sales of 3.5 million units to date having been the only console to sell more units each successive year.
Only two weeks ago, research firm IDC published a press release where they predicted that Microsoft’s Kinect would heavily outsell Sony’s PlayStation Move; this prediction has, sort of, come true in the form of VGChartz recently published sales figures.

It’s actually by a hacker who goes by the name of NTAuthority! and he has used OpeniBoot method which was previously used to port Android on iPhone 2G, 3G and iPod touch.

One of the biggest complain has been the high price tag ($169), considering that it could go to waste if Sony cripples it in the next firmware update.
