Apple Suppliers Reportedly Shipping 13-inch Retina MacBook Pros And Refreshed iMacs

Ben Reid·September 10, 2012
According to a report over at the hit-and-miss DigiTimes, a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display - along with updated spec iMacs - are shipping to Apple's upstream supply chain. DigiTimes has, as is often the case, latched onto the story via sources from within said supply chain, and reports the 13.3" MacBook Pro with Retina display should be upon us within the next six weeks.

13-Inch Retina MacBook Pro Is Already In Production, Launch Likely This Fall [REPORT]

Ben Reid·August 27, 2012
Prior to this year's WWDC keynote, it was widely presumed Apple would add a Retina display to each of its MacBooks, as well as possibly the iMac. Of course, considering history, we should have been wise to Apple's plan; Include the Retina in one model, add a couple of extra perks, and slap an extortionate price tag on it, and see how many consumers can resist until said features are added across the board.

While many consumers are still waiting for their MacBook Pro with Retina display to ship, the folks over at AnandTech have been among the first to get their hands on the coveted device. Having already given the new pixel-dense display, SSD and USB 3.0 some brief comparison tests, the tech blog has now managed to test out just how Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 OS might look on the marvel that is the 2880 x 1800 LCD.

MacBook Pro With Retina Display Benchmarked, Trumps Previous Gen Macs By A Groundbreaking Margin

Ben Reid·June 13, 2012
Apple certainly delivered the goods at WWDC, and although most were pleased with iOS 6, Mountain Lion, and the hardware upgrades across the board, the introduction of the new "next-gen" MacBook Pro with Retina display was certainly a sight for sore eyes.

Apple Updates Current MacBook Pro And MacBook Air With Ivy Bridge Processor, 720p FaceTime Camera And More

Ben Reid·June 11, 2012
Although talk of iOS 6 has been rampant in the run up to WWDC, the speculation regarding a refresh of the Mac range has been equally rife. There has been a lot of on-off reports regarding a Retina display MacBook Air, Pro and iMac, and Apple has today confirmed, and debunked most of the rumors and reports once and for all.

Upcoming Mac Price And Specification Sheet Surfaces, 15-Inch MacBook Pro With Retina Display A Strong Possibility?

Ben Reid·June 7, 2012
Yesterday, we covered a rather dubious looking spec print supposedly detailing the next 13-inch MacBook Pro, but today, courtesy of the guys over at 9to5Mac, we have something a little more legitimate looking. With WWDC next week, the talk of a MacBook refresh is really hotting up, and this latest leak details the prices - in US and Australian dollars - of the Mac range, as well as other associated peripherals.

While the MacBook Air has garnered a strong following for its ultra-sleek design and form factor, the MacBook Pro remains a beautiful marriage of craftsmanship and high-end hardware. Recently, there's been talk - since quashed - of the Pro following the motif of the Air in bringing a sloped shell, but despite not expecting such a design from Apple any time soon, that hasn't stopped designer Guilherme Schasiepen from spreading his wings and teasing a truly marvelous-looking MacBook Pro concept.

Two rumors that just keep on coming back around both involve Apple's portable machines, and we don't mean the iPad or iPhone. The first is the perpetual rumor that a new line of MacBooks is set to be unleashed, with new devices overdue and very much anticipated by roar warriors the world over.
