All of the recent Nokia and Windows Phone discussions may be centered around the Finnish company's launch of the fantastic new Lumia range of devices powered by Windows Phone 8 but if you happened to have gotten in on the Lumia action during the first wave of releases last year then there could be a nice software related surprise waiting for your Lumia 800 device when it connects to the Zune software. Those who still make daily use of their Lumia 800 have obviously made the conscious decision that the upgrade to a newer Lumia device isn't on the cards just yet but that shouldn't stop 800 owners from updating the device to Windows Phone 7.8 as it becomes available through Zune.
Many of us view our ringtone choice as a reflection of us, and as such, we find ourselves spending hour upon hour in deliberation, meticulously selecting one that adequately takes our fancy. Although we appreciate the production that goes into our favorite music tracks, we tend to see ringtones as little more than random jingles, but as Nokia has kindly demonstrated, much work is put in behind-the-scenes in order to create these complex alerts.
It's been a pretty big day in mobile space, with two of the big guns both showcasing new products and innovations to be released in the near future. Motorola's "On Display" event saw a glut of new devices slide into the fold, including the DROID RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD and RAZR M Android smartphones, while the Nokia and Microsoft partnership saw the birth of a couple significant new Lumia devices, as well as more details regarding Windows Phone 8.
Nokia’s media event is all set to kick off tomorrow, where the Finnish company is expected to officially announce their next Windows Phone which will be powered by Windows Phone 8. Nokia's first batch of Lumia devices - in particular the 800 and 900 - yielded much positive press coverage, most notably including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who is a big fan of the Lumia range and Windows Phone in general. As tech fans eagerly await the new Windows Phone 8 handsets, most of the attention will be focusing on what the Finnish company plans to bring to the table, and according to a report over at Chinese website WPDang, Nokia is to showcase the first two Windows Phone 8 handsets at Nokia World - which falls on September 5th.
If you were thinking of picking up a Nokia Lumia 900 and happen to live in the UK, then you may wish to hold off on that purchase for a little while, with some interesting news coming out of the Finnish phone maker. In fact, if you're also a fan of the super awesome Batman, then you'll definitely want to hold your horses.
