While everyone these days is wondering what Steve Jobs has up its sleeves to show the world next Wednesday, Frog Design has unearthed some early prototypes from their archives that designers of this company had created for a young Steve Jobs back in the early 80s. It is extremely interesting to compare “Bashful”, the Tablet of yesterdays with the Apple Tablet of Tomorrow.
These days, a lot of rumors surrounding Apple iTablet/iSlate like device are flying around in the air. Most of these rumors are centered around its name, features and launch date. And now according to a news story published by CNET, an analyst at AVI Securities has disclosed that the production of Apple’s upcoming Tablet device is in full swing. A research note also stated that the increase in requirement for "NAND" flash chips by Apple is probably due to the production requirements of this Tablet.
The are a number of rumored reports around the web, suggesting a possible announcement of Microsoft Courier Tablet like Slate tablet PC tonight during Steve Ballmer’s opening keynote at 2010 CES. If this happens, then we could very well have a Slate/Tablet PC, running Microsoft software well ahead of Apple’s rumored iSlate/Tablet, which is expected to be unveiled on January 27th, in Apple’s mega event to be held at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
The concept images attached below are some of the best concept art I have seen in a while for the upcoming Apple tablet dubbed “iSlate”. Of course we don't know what kind of design folks at Cupertino have in mind for this niche market, neither do we know who the target audience is or what kind of functionality will it provide. But what we do know is that Apple is going to announce something on these lines on January 26, 2010, at a mega event to be held at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
