If the latest round of rumors from Apple Insider are to be believed, Apple might introduce a new 3G-enabled iPod touch this Wednesday, which like its iPad 3G offering will include an AT&T micro-SIM for contract free data connectivity.
We have already seen many different pictures of iPod touch 4 surfaced in the last month or so, and rumors are floating around that the new iPod touch will get a front-facing camera for FaceTime video calls, a rear camera for HD video recording, along with a Retina Display. But what we’re all really interested in knowing is what will the new iPod touch look like, as in the design. A source close to iLounge claims that the new iPod touch won’t have a all flat glass back like the iPhone 4, rather it will be much like the new MacBook Pros.
The well known International trade site Alibaba.com has posted some iPod touch parts, which they claim are from the upcoming next-gen iPod touch which is expected to be unveiled in September of this year. The shell, which is up for grabs on Alibaba.com includes LCD and digitizer, with a hole in the top center which could very well be used for a front-facing camera.
