The newly released iPhone OS 4 Beta 3 reveals ability to capture video at 1280x720 HD resolution instead of the standard 640x480 VGA res. which most phones of this era can capture video on. The following preset values found in some of the new API improvements in OS 4 suggests that the next iPhone might do HD video recording.
According to a report by The Chosum libo, the next Apple iPhone 4G / HD will feature a 5-megapixels camera from LG Innotek with LED flash. We have already heard similar rumors a number of times in the past that a 5MP camera with LED flash, along with a front-facing cam for video conferencing (via iChat) will be one of the many highlights of the next iPhone.
Rumors regarding the next-generation iPhone keeps gaining the moment. A recent rumor from Bloomberg site claims that an analyst, named Robert Chen from Goldman Sachs Groups Inc. in an interview said that the next generation iPhone will feature a 5 megapixel camera, along with a touch sensitive Magic Mouse like shell on the back. Chen, however didn't cite his sources, neither did he cleared on how exactly is the touch sensitive casing on the back is going to be used or utilized.
According to the latest report from Apple Insider, the Cupertino based company has ordered large amount of LED camera flash components for 2010 calendar year. The same source has also learned that Philips LEXEON LED flash technology may have already got the contract for what looks like to being featured on the next-generation iPhone 4G, when it is released in summer of this year.
