One of the new features in iOS 4.1 in the introduction of HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography for iPhone 4 users. With HDR option enabled in Camera app, you can take more detailed photos than what a normal photograph can show or capture. This feature basically takes three photos in quick succession, one properly exposed, one overexposed and one underexposed, and then combines all three to produce one single detailed photograph.
Next week, Apple will roll-out the new iOS 4.1 firmware for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPad and iPod touch. This new firmware like iOS 4.0.2 will require another exploit for jailbreak as the loophole which was found in iOS 4.0.1 was quickly fixed by Apple in iOS 4.0.2. Comex will be on it once Apple releases the firmware to public early next week.
Back when iOS 4 was released, it had all sorts of performance issues when it ran on older devices such as iPhone 3G. Last month, Jobs confirmed that a new software update will fix some performance woes of iPhone 3G running iOS 4.x. Apple CEO Steve Jobs has confirmed that a new software update for iOS 4.x will be rolled out soon to fix performance woes on iPhone 3G, running iOS 4.x. He confirmed this in a reply to an email, sent to him by a user who expressed his frustration over the performance of his iPhone 3G on iOS 4, calling it '”dog slow”.
Folks at the MacMagazine claims to have got this information from reliable sources within Apple who has confirmed to them that instead of the usual Apple’s “Media event” in September, Apple this year will be hosting their event as early as mid of this August, somewhere around 14th to 16th. Since 14th August falls on Saturday, what they believe is that the event is likely going to be held on Monday or Tuesday i.e. 16th or 17th of this month.
