As if the existing concepts weren’t enough already, SET Solution has come up with a new one for the upcoming (next year, of course) iPhone 6 (or whatever it gets to be called in the end) - one that takes on a completely different subject, that of security. This new concepts shows iPhone 6 taking a leap further from Touch ID and integrating what SET is calling ‘EYE ID’ - a retinal scanner to provide security and safety on your iPhone.
The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c may only have been available for two months, but that's not going to stop us looking ahead to what Apple might have up its sleeve for next year. We've already been treated to a bunch of iPhone 6 concepts to accompany the early rumors pertaining the next Cupertino smartphone, and a series of renders recently offered by designer Iskander Utebayev feature an interesting three-sided display. We've seen rumors of Apple's claimed interest in launching new, larger iPhones throughout the recent months, and it's clear that those rumors aren't going to go away any time soon after Bloomberg today got in on the speculation action.
The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c may only have been around for a short time, but already, the rumor mill is abuzz with talk of the iPhone 6. In the run-up to the release of the last few iPhones, we've heard that Apple would be going with a larger display, and although the iPhone 5 did somewhat break the long-standing mold, it's yet to compete with the many 5-inch+ Android devices and soon, Windows Phone devices on the market. This could be all about to change with the next iPhone, though, with a new report suggesting that the device, which will probably be launched next September, will include a larger, 1080p display.
The next-gen iPhone will probably take a similar form factor to the current flagship iPhone 5, leading many to believe the device will carry the 'iPhone 5S' moniker. However, Apple has a habit of changing things up and pulling the wool over everybody's eyes, so until we see the device as revealed perhaps later this year, there's scope for everybody to dream up their own ideas of the shape the next generation iPhone will take. That's exactly what designer Pritesh Chavan has done with his transforming iPhone 6 concept that sees the device unfold into a phablet-type device before eventually revealing another seam to create a fully-fledged tablet.
Not a day goes by right now where we don't receive a new concept video or image into our inboxes, and most of the time that concept revolves around the iPhone. Be it the rumored iPhone 5S, or the budget and so-called iPhone Lite, concept videos in particular are cropping up more and more often. Throw in those showing what people think next year's iPhone 6 may look like, and that's quite a few concept videos hitting our inbox on a weekly basis.
Designer Antonio De Rosa regularly churns out some fantastic concepts pertaining to numerous Apple products. Adding to his growing list of great designs comes an all-new iPhone 6 mockup, which looks simply stunning with its large, edge-to-edge display and touch-based home button, and it runs Apple’s iOS 7 beta. Check it out after the break, you’ll definitely love it!
Concepts concepts concepts, as far as the eye can see. There's a golden rule when creating concepts, and that's to come up with something that's not been seen before. If that doesn't happen, then borrow features from something that does them better than whatever you're making the concept of. That's exactly what we've got here.
Ah, concepts. It seems a day can't go by without some sort of iPhone 6 or iOS concept being thrust into the public domain, and not all are actually that great.
Concept videos are a dime a dozen at the best of times, but when everyone knows that a new iPhone is just a few short months away, things tend to heat up. Everyone with a passing interest in design and Apple seems to want to throw together a concept video or produce some renders that show what the next handset may or may not look like. We see them, and we move on.
