Some units of HTC HD2 were shipped with camera problem in which a pink hue spot was noticed in the center of all the snaps taken from the 5 megapixel autofocus camera on board HTC HD2. HTC first confirmed it as an hardware issue but then later they found out that it was infact a software issue, rather than a hardware one. And now HTC has rolled out a software update which fixes this problem on all the defected handsets.
A camera defect was earlier reported by the early adopters of HTC HD2 in which a pink hue spot was noticed in the centre of all the pictures taken from the 5 MP autofocus camera on HTC HD2. It has only been a week since the launch of the highly advertised DROID phones on Verizon – the Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris. Interestingly Verizon decided to launch both the handsets on the same day to attract different type of audiences. While it may have attracted some, it also generated a confusion as to which device was better than the other. Both the devices are equipped with all the hardware features that one would expect from them. This includes, a high resolution capacitive multi-touch screen, 5 mega-pixel camera and so on. Below is a quick rundown showing how the two Droid phones stand against each other.
HTC has finally, in an official announcement unveiled its long awaited high-end mobile device called HTC HD2 which was previously codenamed as Leo. HTC HD2 is powered by Microsoft's newly released Windows Mobile 6.5 and will be the first Windows phone to feature multi-touch support through HTC Sense (aka HTC TouchFLO 3D 2.5) which up till now was only available on the company's Android-based handsets like HTC Hero.
It looks like HTC HD2 will be arriving much sooner than we first thought it would. Engadget has been informed by a reliable source that UK carrier O2 will be launching HTC Leo on October 12 as HD2. O2 has it listed already on its intranet site with an October 12 launch date.
Most of the secrets about the eagerly awaited HTC Leo saddled with Windows Mobile 6.5 are out already except for its release date and expected price. With its large size 4.3-inches multitouch screen and amazing specs, it looks like it is going to bulldoze all others devices in its path and is surely going to be a big hit.
