Jaxbot at XDA-Developers forums is working hard on a Windows Phone 7 Series theme to bring the Metro UI over to Windows Mobile 6.5.x (aka Windows Phone Starter) based devices. Folks over at Modaco forums are working on porting the new HTC Sense experience from the newly released HTC Desire over to the Google-branded Nexus One phone. For those of you who don't know, HTC Desire was unveiled yesterday by HTC at the Mobile World Congress 2010. Droid, which ships with Android 2.0/2.0.1 has got this plain and simple interface which comes as stock from Android 2.0 OS. Folks over at XDA-Developers have managed to hack the popular HTC Sense interface, which ships with HTC HD2, to make it compatible to run in landscape mode. One complain that you would have often heard from users running HTC Sense on Windows phones is the lack of support in landscape mode. With this hack, you can now run the popular interface in landscape mode. Its not perfect yet, and has some alignment issues, but it is still very much usable. One can expect more improvements in future releases.
