At this point, it should be no secret that Apple will soon be coming out with a new iPhone, known in the Apple community as the iPhone 5. Credible evidence now suggests that the next iPhone will be world phone, supporting both GSM and CDMA bands.
Earlier rumors suggested that iPhone 5 will actually come with a global support which means it will have both GSM and CDMA radios. The rumor had its basis in the Qualcomm Gobi cellular/data chipset which was found included in the Verizon iPhone 4 when it was taken to pieces.
Despite having a redesigned antenna, it seems like iPhone 4’s “antennagate” isn't over it. After taking it through their regular test, iLounge has discovered that the CDMA based iPhone 4 on Verizon suffers from the same antenna issues that plagued the original GSM iPhone 4, which was launched back in June last year.
