But now thanks to folks over at AllDroid, you will now soon be able to get the attractive looking HTC Sense right on your Motorola Droid phone.
Folks over at AllDroid have managed to overclock the Motorola Droid phone to 1.1Ghz, hence making it faster than the “stock” Nexus One which is powered by 1Ghz Snapdragon processor. The test was carried out by testing Droid with different clock speeds (800Mhz, 900Mhz, 1Ghz, 1.1Ghz) after which it was found to be running most stable at 800Mhz.
Swype keyboard, which is currently officially available only on Windows Mobile based Samsung Omnia II has been leaked for Android devices. This leaked preview version of Skype is optimized for high resolution Android devices such as the Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris. This preview version of Swype for Android devices is said to be incompatible with the older WVGA screens.

A Russian site by the name of Mobiset.ru has managed to grab, what looks like first clear photographs of the upcoming sequel to the popular Motorola Droid phone, called Sholes Tabled. Sholes Tablet, which is also sometimes knows as the Droid 2.0 will be the flagship device of Motorola in the year 2010 and it is most likely to ship with Android 2.1 in the first half of 2010.
More details have emerged regarding the upcoming Google phone called Nexus One. Tnkgrl Mobile who has had a hands on with the device has confirmed that Nexus One, like Motorola Droid on Verizon wont support multitouch, out of the box. Not atleast in the two apps (Browser and Google Maps) that she tried out.
The folks over at BGR have found out references to iPhone 3.1.3, and the iPhone 4.0 firmware version in their server logs and they seems to be legitimate. While iPhone 3.1.3 will only be a minor release, the 4.0 version certainly denotes a major release version and we can expect it to ship with the next-generation iPhone model sometime in summer 2010. Nothing much is known about about the features that the new firmware is going to offer, but we can expect it to add alot of new features, similar to what was experienced when firmware 3.0 was released.
It has now been confirmed that the Google Phone has been named as “Nexus One”. It has been designed by the folks at Google, and the hardware is manufactured by HTC. Nexus One will be sold online by Google, fully unlocked so that you can use it with any carrier you like. It is being reported that Nexus One will look alot like HTC Passion/Bravo which is also slated for 2010 release.
Although this news isn't confirmed as yet, but it has been learnt from various sources that starting from this Friday, AT&T is starting its Christmas sale for the holiday season by offering upto 50% off on all RIM BlackBerry smartphones with new activation and minimum $30 monthly data package. It is believed that Verizon Wireless will also be joining AT&T on the same day by going a step further and offering, the Buy-One-Get-One-Free promotions on their popular Android handsets, the Motorola Droid and Droid Eris.
A Chinese site by the name of Mobile Android seems to have found first pictures and specs sheet of the upcoming sequel to the popular Droid phone, dubbed as Motorola Sholes Tablet. The leaked specs sheet looks impressive with 3.7’’ 840x485 WVGA capacitive multi-touch screen, 8 megapixel camera and HDMI output like the one in Zune HD. This combination of HDMI port + 8 megapixel camera will enable Sholes (Droid 2.0) to record high definition video, and then output it in HD 720p resolution.
