Folks at Chronic Dev Team have released Linux version of GreenPois0n tool which like the Windows version can jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G and iPad on iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 respectively.
GreenPois0n is now available for download. If for some reason Limera1n didn’t work for you, you can give this one a try to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G and iPad. Support for iPod touch 2G and Apple TV will also be added soon.
This is just in. Members of Chronic Dev Team have confirmed that SHAtter based GreenPois0n jailbreak for A4 iOS based devices is finally dropping on 10th October 2010 at 10:10:10AM GMT. According to them, the said tool is done and is ready to release on the mentioned date and time.

Vincent has just tweeted that the SHAtter exploit based jailbreak for iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4 / iPod touch 4 and iPad will be released soon. Why would we do an entire post after a simple tweet? Well, that’s because good ol’ Vincent here is the administrator of The iPhone Wiki (an encyclopedia which collects, stores and provides info on iPhone hacks), so the source is authentic and extremely reliable.
We previously mentioned that a low-level tethered jailbreak for iOS 4.1 would be coming soon to iPhones, iPod touches and iPad. Just now, we have received information that the next jailbreak will be from Chronic Dev-Team and it will be named GreenPois0n.
Developer of GreenPois0n - p0sixninja has just posted a long detailed post, clearing out the confusions that many of you may be having regarding GreenPois0n, Chronic Dev Team and their authenticity. According to him, they have have found an exploit in the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware which will be able to unlock and jailbreak iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), and iPod touch 3G untethered. All they are now waiting is for the iPad with iPhone 3.2 to hit shelves on April 3rd.
