Would you buy a Windows 8 PC from Ashton Kutcher? According to an article over at the New York Post, Mr. Kutcher could be on the cusp of being snapped up by PC maker Lenovo to star in a series of Windows PC ads. The deal is rumored to be fetching the actor the tidy sum of $10 million, and with the release of the indie movie Jobs - a motion picture starring Kutcher as the late, great Apple co-founder - now almost upon us, perhaps Lenovo intends to create an intriguing paradox in using a Jobs-like figure to flog Windows products.
Although the Joshua Michael Stern directed jOBS movie is not the official adaptation of Walter Isaacson's autobiography, it is one of the most-anticipated independent films of recent times thanks to the insight that it promises to give into the life of the iconic Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs. When Ashton Kutcher was first announced as the actor who would be stepping into the role of Mr. Jobs, it immediately seemed like a great fit thanks to the remarkable similarities of the two, and the first official image release showing Kutcher in his Steve Jobs role only confirms that he is at least aesthetically the right man for the job.
He may be gone but thanks to the legacy he left behind, certain indie film and Hollywood movie production studios will never lets us forget the iconic Apple founder, Steve Jobs. We will all continue to enjoy the amazing products and services which Jobs managed to unleash to the world during his final years with Apple, but if Ashton Kutcher has anything to do with it, we could be remembering the former Apple CEO for different reasons.
New photos of Ashton Kutcher have shown the actor walking the streets dressed entirely as the man he will be playing in an upcoming movie. That man is Steve Jobs, the former Apple CEO and co-founder who died last year.
